Field of Gold

(Look, a mid-week post! There’s still hope that I’ll return to regular blogging while holding down a full-time job, with photo gigs and a social life on the side — huzzah!)

If you like this photo, thank my husband, for it was taken on the trip back from his hometown two weeks ago. As we drove up there, I spied these fields across the highway and literally said, “oohhhhhh… wow“. So, on the way back, he kindly pulled over on the side of the highway and let me take a few shots. I loved the subtle leading lines in the field (of canola?), the tiny horizon at the top of the frame, the vertical orientation of this landscape shot, and the colors.

I want to live near a field like this. Alas, I’ll have to settle for the picture instead.

P.S. — If you’re hungry, don’t read my last post. Unless you want to become hungrier. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
